Heat Wave

It has been relatively nice in Germany the past few days. The thermometer in my car said 68 degrees after sitting in the sun all day! Our sunroom has also been warm with the sun streaming in all day and the heat getting trapped. Luna loves to lie in the sun. I definitely think she is a warm weather kind of girl. She doesn't have much fur or body fat so she shivers in the cold German air. Well it turns out she can't withstand too much heat either. It can't be more than 65 degrees and she's panting :-)

MIKA

Ali and I went to see MIKA in Dusseldorf on Saturday night. It was a fantastic show. There couldn't have been more than 500 people there. And there were some cool special effects and of course awesome songs. If you don't know MIKA you should check him out! Some of my favorite songs include: Blue Eyes, Big Girl You Are Beautiful, the Lollipop Song, and Good Gone Girl :-)

Indian Night

We had Indian Night at the Munshi's tonight. (Shyam is half Indian) We had delicious food, watched some Bollywood movies, and Shyam gave me this awesome henna. It should get darker the longer I have it. Check out the dinosaur in honor of Mike :-)

our sweet puppy

Luna's getting bigger so fast! She is a healthy, happy puppy. We had a long bout of diarrhea for awhile. She couldn't control it so I was having to get up in the middle of the night to clean up the poop in her bed. With all the poopy laundry in the middle of the night I felt like I had a baby! But it turned out her stomach didn't agree with the food we were feeding her. She's not allowed to eat anything except the food the vet gave us (yay for vet bills) so without treats we haven't been doing too much training. She does come when called (usually) and we're practicing walking. The harness is amazing because she either has to walk or be dragged!!

Happy Birthday to Me

In lieu of his presence my husband sent these wonderful flowers for my birthday. I also got all of these cards from my amazing friends and family. I was expecting a lonely birthday this year but it was actually very nice. My friend Mandy got her 4 year old students to sing me Happy Birthday at school. And I enjoyed a lovely evening of take out, red velvet cupcakes, and RockBand with the Munshis and the Harrisons.

The Friday before my birthday my wonderful friends Ali and Emily took me out in Luxembourg to celebrate. It was a joint celebration - Emily's bday is March 2nd. We ate dinner in a wonderful Italian restaurant. Stopped at a couple bars and saw a movie. The next morning we slept in late, swam in the hotel's pool, and got massages. A wonderful relaxing birthday!!
