Beach Bum

We headed to Destin Florida last weekend for a quick beach getaway.  Its only about 3 hours from our house in Montgomery and we can stay on Eglin AFB for cheap!!

Charlie's bed juuuust fits into the closet.

We found a beach in Destin that is just for military members.  Kind of like a state park.  We paid $5 for parking and hardly anyone was there.

Mike loves his oysters but Charlie's not impressed.

Charlie's Baptism

Charlie was baptized this past weekend at the catholic chapel on base.

He wore a baptismal gown that was hand made by my Great Great Grandmother Daria Tambellini.  There was a slip and a long sleeved gown.  Charlie just fit into it - there was no elastic back then and I'm sure my Great Grandfather was much younger than Charlie's 4 months.

He was a little warm in the Alabama heat :-)

This picture is a little fuzzy but you can see just how long the gown was - beautiful.  I was afraid it was going to dip into the baptismal font!!
