Great Wolf

While we were in MD Charlie, Mom and I took a road trip to Ohio to see our friends Ali, Spence, Eli, and Charlene.

The first night we stayed at a Great Wolf lodge.  All the boys had a blast!

Charlie tuckered himself out.

Maryland for a Month

We spent the month of June in Maryland, attending weddings and visiting with friends and family.

As per usual Charlie was a fantastic traveler.

We first got all dressed up for Grandpa Skarda's wedding.

Uncle Bryan is ready for 2 babies :-)

Charlie got to hang out with lots of new friends.

We had fun with Emmett and Simon.

We met friends I used to dance with in high school who now all have their own babies!!

Charlie also hung out with lots of fun Brubakers.

Aunt Nicole

Papa

Charlie's great great grandma

We talked to Daddy often on FaceTime.

Had lots of fun, new (and old) toys to play with.

Went to the zoo for the first time.

Bought lots of stylish clothes.

Tried lots of new foods.

Went to the rodeo.

Enjoyed the swings at the park.

Just hung out.

And still had time for cuddles.

Towards the end of June Charlie stayed overnight with Nonna and Papa while Mike and I went to a wedding.  It was his first overnight away from both of us.

Charlie had a great time.

Mike and I managed to have a good time too.

7 Months Old

Charlie was officially 7 months a couple weeks ago.  We were in MD for the entire month of June so I'm in catch up mode here.

This month Charlie tried many new foods.  He especially likes to suck on a dill pickle.
He had many firsts including trips to the zoo, the library, the park and a baseball game.
He loves to play peek a boo - especially when you cover his head with a blanket and he rips it off.  He also loves pat a cake.
Charlie is also possibly waving bye bye - but he constantly opens and closes his right fist so that could be a coincidence.
And finally he rolled for his stomach to his back.  Just once.  Guess he's not in a big hurry to go anywhere.  He'll sit contentedly in one spot for up to 20 minutes before he topples over.

With all of our travels this past month Charlie has interacted with many people and I made sure to write down some of the funnier things people have said.

"You're too pretty to be a boy!"

"Look at those legs.  They look like the turkey legs at Disneyland.  I just want to gnaw on them!"

"Look at that juicy baby!  I don't mean to get personal but do you breast feed?"

"I love me some breast fed babies."

The asian lady at the nail salon told me the birthmark on his arm means good luck.
