…and we're back!! Sorry for the blog hiatus. Things have been crazy around here with traveling for the holidays and moving from Alabama to Nebraska. But we have made it to Omaha, found a house, unpacked (mostly) and now Mike is gone for a month so I have some time to blog :-)
Lots of stuff to catch you up on - Christmas in Belgium, road tripping to Nebraska, settling in to what will be our home for at least the next 3 years - but lets start with Charlie's first birthday!
My mom and dad (Nonna and Papa) came to visit for a week to help us celebrate Charlie's birthday and Thanksgiving - thanks for cooking dad!
Charlie wasn't feeling so good at the beginning of their visit...

No worries on the cake front. Charlie's got this.
Charlie had some special friends come and eat cupcakes and celebrate his birthday with him. My friends Carolyn and Tonya and Tonya's little girl Elena - aka Charlie's girlfriend. Unfortunately I apparently suck at taking pictures of things besides my child so there is no group shot.

For Thanksgiving Dad made a wonderful meal and we were joined by Tonya's family (including her husband and dad) who were in the middle of a move to Florida and didn't have a table to eat on :-)

It was wonderful to celebrate a year of Charlie with some special friends and family.
